Shards in Shattered Realms are a currency used through the Shards system of our bot on discord. These shards are canonically solid pieces of a rift in the dimension, and as such are literal pieces of time and space within the dimension. Everyone starts with ten (10) Shards and you are able to gain Shards through various means of RP here within the server. Events, Rifts, and Gambling are the most notable ways to do so, with solo rifts actually being the worst way to gain these Shards as it produces the least amount simply because of the risk and level associated with them. 

Shards are not able to be used, or given out in any way other than two entities being within The Golden Palace. Items may not be given while outside of The Golden Palace. And you may not access the Golden Palace while within another thread unless you have purchased a "Golden Key" which will give you access to the Golden Palace at anytime that you are NOT within a FIGHT thread. The Golden Palace shall always act as the "Present" for your character.
